I have a question for all the nature photographers. I hope you can help me out also, Thorsten, as a specialist ;). I'm about to buy a new camera and lenses. I'm in doubt about the Canon 350D, 400D and 30D. I was advised the 30D by the camera shops, but I hear from hobbyists I should ga for de 350/400D because the 30D doesn't have that many advantages. And then the lenses and then especially the light sensitivity. According to the shop experts I can go without problems for the F 4-5,6 telelenses. But I hear from hobbyists and friends this will not be sufficient for in the jungle and I should go for at least F4 or best 2,8. Best would be de F 2,8, but those are too expensive for me. So I hope you can help me out here! Becaus than I can buy them and practice, practice, practice for our beautifull journey :).

Hi Lucas, its difficult for me to say wich canon camera is the best... i am a nikon photographer. its important for a camera (wildlife) that the ISO is from 100 to 1600 and that shoot directly if you use the button. for the lens ... i like the 18-200mm lens! the most people dont need more tele, on our tour we come close to the animals i send you also a mail with infos about the special offer from air madagascar... we have to move quick about this... veloma, thorsten

Thank you for the quick respons, Thorsten! Why do you prefer Nikon? And is it true about the light sensitivity for the telelens? Am I better off with the f/4 in stead of a f/4-5,6 or are they both fine fore in the jungle?

hi lucas, yes the light in the lens is important for brilliance and also for short-times to shoot... dont use lenses for our trip bigger then 200... the most photographers on our tour dont need this! the animals come to close ;-) thats why i like 18-200mm very much you have all in one... maby a macro lens für insects and also frogs veloma, tanala

hi mark the 18-200mm lens is very nice... normaly its enaugh... and maby if you like macro-photography you need a 105mm macro... thats all normaly... you will see you get close to the animals thats why 18mm wide and 200mm light tele is enaugh veloma, toni
